Daniel E. DeYear
"In 1984, I had been a firefighter EMT for several years. I regularly rode with a paramedic working on an MICU (Mobile Intensive Care Unit). I had been to many, many CPRs. Very few people knew CPR and it wasn’t taught often. Rarely was anyone doing CPR when we arrived. Almost never! We taught it at the fire station and I was an instructor. My motivation was to have more people trained so we wouldn’t show up 'too late' and no one doing anything. That’s what got me started."
Today: It's a Family Business
Daniel offically retired from Dallas Fire-Rescue in 2023. His wife, Janet DeYear, who had been the training center coordinator for over 20 years, has also joined him in retirement. The training center is now operated by Nikke DeYear (TC Coordinator) and Connor DeYear (TC Faculty & Head Instructor). Nikke has been trained on all things AHA and continues to provide excellent customer service for our clients, while Connor brings to the table 12+ years of experience as an AHA Instructor and is an active Firefighter/EMT.
